What Is LoveElgin.org?
LoveElgin is a vision of seeing the body of Christ use every gift, talent and resource to demonstrate the incredible love God has for humanity so that people experience genuine hope, tangible and spiritual needs are met in their lives and communities are forever changed. Although we value the times of worship on Saturdays and Sunday along with Wednesday night ministries that seek to disciple and grow people in their faith in Christ – the VISION is to see Christ-followers come together, reach their cities for Christ and send the message to the world that the body of Christ can and will unite to impact our world for Jesus Christ.
In this local setting, we are a Jesus-centric outreach, although helping anyone no matter their background, religion or history, across the city of Elgin and beyond, demonstrating the love of God to all people who have genuine felt-needs, economic challenges, and spiritual concerns. Imagine: Businesses, City government, Local churches working together to express the hope and love of God in as many ways as possible!
What We Do
Free Food and More!
When scheduled: we usually offer: FREE food + clothes + haircuts + manicures + bike repair + car maintenance + medical services + chiropractic adjustments + legal counsel + addiction recovery + kids’ activities + resource information + prayer + helpful connections to next steps! This can vary based on the ‘setting, venue, dates and who commits to help.
The Body of Christ Serves
We have people from all areas come to serve (Faith-based, Medical, Professional, Business, Individuals, Schools that simply seek to share God’s love for Elgin in their unique way.
Elgin’s Businesses Give
We encourage local businesses, agencies, organizations to join this effort and bring their best to clients we serve.
Opportunities to Serve
- Doctors, nurses, dentists, opticians or chiropractors who can offer a screening or other medical service
- Attorneys to answer legal questions and concerns
- Barbers, hair stylists, massage therapists, nail technicians
- Car mechanics,overview, maintenance

Launched in 2011, this vision was supported by over a dozen Pastors/Churched to have FREE services in an environment of fun and faith to reach and touch as many as are able to be served. The number of people served at each LoveElgin outreach is between 500 to 3,000 family units. We offer, when available, a lunch to all clients and volunteers, along with incredible services across every site and campuses across the Elgin area (based on date and availability).
Pastor Jeorge Holmes, a native of Elgin, was prayerful, building relationships with area Pastors and businesses, to understand the ‘needs’ represented in our communities. He became the catalyst and vision caster and continues to serve as lead coordinator. LoveElgin operates under the umbrella of many local churches and Pastors in Elgin along with partnering with Touched Twice United, a 501(c)(3) organization in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
